In March 1999, Elon Musk made X.com with Peter Thiel. X.com was an online financial and email services company. They later joined a computer company called Confinity. Confinity was busy developing a product called PayPal. They decided to put X.com there. They finished making PayPal in 2001. Peter Thiel was fired in May 2002. In September 2002, Elon was fired. When Elon was fired Peter Thiel came back. However, he was no longer recognized as the founder, but as the CEO. When Elon was fired, he said "I should be stressed, but now I'm free. I'm planning to go on the first holiday I've been on in about three years".
